At STYM, Nitrating and Nitrocarburizing process is done by a technology known as TUFFTRIDE treatment. This process significantly enhances and increases the engine valve mechanical properties such as Wear Resistance, Corrosion Resistance, Fatigue Strength and Sliding Properties.

In comparison to other Surface treatments such as the chrome plating, the TUFFTRIDE is an easy to operate, economical and exhibits repeatable results with almost virtually no dimension changes in the component.
